We take a “mobile first” approach to web design by designing websites to adapt their layout to the viewing environment. This approach is known as responsive web design.

A website designed with responsive web design provides an optimal viewing and interaction experience to all types of devices (from desktop computers to cell phones) by responding to the screen size and displaying a version appropriate to that size.

It is essential that your website be designed with responsive web design because the amount of mobile traffic now accounts for more than half of the total Internet traffic.

On April 21, 2015, Google boosted the ranking of websites that are mobile-friendly (pages that are legible and usable on mobile devices) for searches taking place on mobile devices. This penalizes websites that are not mobile-friendly.
